"One of the most beautiful sounds in the world is the Muslim call to prayer," Freeman said as he sat down with an imam at a mosque.

Freeman asked the imam what the origin of the azan is and how the muezzin (the one who calls the prayer) is chosen. "Meeting Muslims face to face, I've learned that Islam aims for people to live in peace," Freeman said in the episode.

It is said that Allah swt has placed a compass in every human that always points to Him. As we grow, worldly influences of parents, environment etc send us looking for happiness here and there. True inner peace and joy elude us until we set out in the direction of the Creator.  A little American girl in a mall in Abu Dhabi is in awe at hearing  the call to prayer. May she say "labaik" one day, inshaAllah. Do share your memories of Azan and spiritual experiences in the comments section
